This document explains the pun.ifm Indian Font Metric (IFM)
file for use with ITRANS. This IFM is to be used with the Gurmukh
PostScript font `Punjabi' (pun). The inventory of signs for
`Punjabi' and their ITRANS transliteration codes are given in Table
1.
Note: The tables and this document assume that #usecsx has been turned on, see the main itrans manual for more information on that command.
I have also developed an IFM file for Amarjit Singh's Gurmukhi METAFONT which is bundled with his Gurmukhi for LATEX package. The IFM for Singh's font is called grmk.ifm. Please refer to grmk.itx for details.
The Gurmukh Postscript font `Punjabi' (pun) was designed by,
and is copyright Hardip Singh Pannu, 1992-94. I am not
sure whether this font is commercial or if it was released into the
public domain, so please do not modify or make derivative versions of
the font.
